Our community engagement programme has grown over the years from beach events and the odd school visit in Plymouth to global citizen science projects, a curriculum-based online school product and a presence at festivals and events across the UK. Funding for this programme enables us to enhance our event display, build content, expand citizen science – including sharing of data with research community – and for staff time to develop and deliver the various engagement activities.

Brand partners might have an interest in more national/local markets or be looking to sponsor or enable staff to attend an event. The Great Eggcase Hunt – our flagship citizen science project – gives the opportunity to co-host a beach event for staff or local community. Why not Adopt a beach – and survey it twice a year.
